oral presentation

A nightmare journey/trip
Prepare an oral presentation

Invent the story
Brainstorming:
The company lost our luggage
We were late to get on the plane
We got lost
The hotel didn’t have our reservation
We got stuck in a traffic jam and we were late to get on the train.
We forgot our passport
We were robbed/ Someone stole my wallet.
We confused the dates
The plane had delay.
The plane couldn’t take off.
The workers were on strike.

Techniques
Order is essential
Structure of information
Combine description with narration.
We were in all in our new Toyota Rav4, ready for the set-off. I was wearing a tracksuit, because it is comfortable for driving. The kids were at the back with the videoscreen ready…
DESCRIPTION:  use of adjectives, nouns/ some verbs that don’t indicate action/ you can use the past continuous.
NARRATION:
Finally, we set off and we got onto the motorway A-7 toward el Altet. We drove very fast because we thought it was late.
NARRATION: more verbs, few adjectives/ verbs of action, which usually go in past simple

CHANGE OF FORTUNE-
Everything was going fine. We were all happy to start the day when suddenly it started to rain. What a disaster!
